Reigning champion takes second Brands Hatch race win
Stuart Oliver cruised to victory in the final Delphi British Truck Racing Championship of the weekend at Brands Hatch (Sunday 29th March).
The Hexham haulier dominated the race, leading from lights to flag to secure his second consecutive victory at the Kent circuit.
Luck was not on the side of Oliver's fellow front row starter Chris Levett however, as Levett ran wide into the gravel whilst battling with David Jenkins through Paddock Hill Bend on the opening lap.
Levett, though, was able to rejoin and subsequently put on a magnificent display of driving - carving his way from the back of the field to fifth position. He was involved in a thrilling battle for fourth place with Richard Collett until mechanical difficulties forced him to retire from the race on lap 11.
Mat Summerfield benefitted from the first lap battle between Jenkins and Levett to snatch second place, whilst Jenkins crossed the line in third position.
Asides from Levett, Roger Brookfield was the only retirement from the race following an incident with Terry Gibbon.
